It was a great week! Yeah that was a little hard.
2. So did Jessica get baptized? If so, how was it?
She did her pics will be on dropbox. It was awesome she was so excited! Our Ward is awesome too. All of the baptisms on my mission I have had to clean the font make the program and call speakers. But our ward didn't let us do any of that! I was so happy about that.
3. Did you do the giant Book of Mormon and walk around the campus? How did it go?
We haven't we still want to we just have to figure how and where to get the stuff and how to make it. So I hope it happens.
4. Did you play dodgeball for your P-day last week? Did the Sisters play this too or just the Elders?
We did it was so awesome! Not to boast but I was champ! I hit a sister in the face on accident...it curved. This same sister is going home this transfer and a couple weeks ago got held up and her bag stolen. So that is pretty sad. But she is awesome!
This week was pretty great our numbers have gone up since last week. It is still hard to find here. But Jessica brought 3 girls to her baptism and we are going to teach them and hopefully there family this week! She is awesome. We also found a new male investigator which is our goal because it is hard to teach if we don't have a member working with us because it is not allowed to teach a women without a member. So we are looking for males right now!
Everyone in the Philippines plays an instrument and it is so cool. Especially guitar. it is a goal of my when i come home to play the guitar decently. We went to a members house to eat and teach, and he had tons of instruments. So after the lesson we had a jam session. The member played the guitar and he had me play the beat box since I use to play the drums (the things people sit on that is wood and it is like a snare and a base drum) and then the others just sang it was so awesome. I like the beat box it is very fun and easy.
This week we had a lot of dinner appointments. We ate pizza three times last week one lady took us out last Pday and then she ordered to our house for my comps bday. Then another family forgot we were suppose to eat with them and they felt bad but they took us to get pizza. There daughter Trina is going to the Arizona Mesa temple mission! She leaves today and will be in the MTC tomorrow. She is awesome. And so is there whole family. They all speak perfect english. One of them their sons always updates me on Basketball and NBA drafts. But yeah she is very cool.
But about the work the investigators we have now are progressing with their assignments but not going to church. So it is kind of hard right now. But we have plans to get new investigators and the ones we have now to progress. Another random story I got into a trike to go to starbucks and my shirt ripped on the door...that sucked. We went to Starbucks with a member for a study group that she was going to. There was a less active girl there so yeah it was cool until... the member was like oh they don't know you are coming so pretend like you just came here by coincidence and say hi. That is what we did but it was just so awkward she didn't want us there sadly.Oh and today we are going to a zoo for District activity! But yep that is my week. Im excited to hear about yours.
Love, Elder Jordan Salisbury
